A selection of 'Sharp-end' scenes of the section of the line between the 'Hook' and Hill 355, during the 1st. Commonwealth Division's defence of that sector, under General A.J.H. Cassels, from November 1951 to the end of hostilities in July 1953
Most of the photographs displayed here are courtesy of Byron Rees, a member of the Middlesex Branch, Byron and his comrades took these as they moved up the Korean peninsular, crossing the imjim and finaly taking up positions on Hill 159 in late '52 through into '53, where they saw action recording and locating incomming enemy artillery fire.

Most of these photographs were taken by members of 15 Locating Light Anti-aircraft Battery
Royal Artillery with whom Byron served whilst in forward positions recording enemy artillery fire
The Battery arrived in Korea in December 1951 joining the 61st. Light Regiment RA when that Regiment formed in January 1952
15 Battery was credited with 600 sound ranging locations of enemy guns between then and July 1953
