On Monday 11th June 2007, at The Hanworth Crematorium,

Freinds, Relatives and Members of the Middlesex Branch BKVA,

gathered to take part in A Celebration of the Life of

The lifelong loving Wife of Ron Stevens of Middlesex Branch BKVA

25th February 1926 - 29th May 2007

For Tony Barker a stalwart member of the Derby Branch, who has sadly passed away.

On behalf of War Veterans everywhere here are a few words to mark his passing: I am sure the entire BKVA Membership would concur, wish to be associated with and join, David Drinkwater the North East Scotland Branch Webmaster, and his fellow members in the entry he placed in the the Derby & Burton Branch Guestbook :

"All members of the Northeast Scotland Branch would like to express deep sorrow and send heartfelt condolences to Pat and the family over the very sad loss of Tony Barker. Tony was a very good friend, I was proud to have served in the same unit as Tony during the Korea War, the friendship born out of that conflict remained strong to this day. You have lost a very special person who had a Gods given gift which enabled him to produce correspondence so meaningful and so very humorous. It was always a pleasure to receive your Branch magazine. Your loss leaves a hole in your committee that will be hard to fill but rest assured that his loss is Gods gain and no doubt Tony has already got his pen in hand to produce similar items in the highest branch that there is. God bless you Tony, it was a real pleasure knowing you".

And from Edgar Green of Reading Branch concerning Albert Bartlett, also of Reading Branch, the following:

He wrote: One of your contacts who was Albert Bartlett i.e. Isabert@btopenworld.com is no longer
with us, he passed away a few weeks ago.  He was one of my ex Middlesex men.

(Further words for Albert's obituary are invited and would be welcome from any of his Family, Friends and/or fellow Veterans)
